Barbican Insurance Group – Manchester

Barbican Insurance Group recently tasked us with transforming their Manchester branch from floor to ceiling.

They wanted everything, from new meeting rooms and staff breakout areas, to a fitted kitchen, reception area and board rooms. Fortunately, they came to the right place for a professional turn-key fit out!  Barbican provide insurance solutions and support services, such as claims and administration, from their first floor office in The Hive building. We love nothing more than getting stuck into a challenging project such as this.

We rounded up our expert builders and joiners, floor fitters and decorators, to toil away near Manchester Piccadilly Station for eight short weeks. Really, that’s no time at all to carve out an expansive open office, install new partition walls and glass doors, on top of everything else we also had in the pipeline for them – but with forward thinking and hard work we managed it.

Thanks to our detailed pre-planning, Barbican’s new cloak cupboards and bespoke kitchen were fitted as easily as their carpet and vinyl flooring was laid underfoot. We installed new electrics – including new lighting, fire alarms and a heating system with leak detection. Not forgetting their fully interactive audio-visual equipment and video conferencing tools too. We applied new graphics and digital print wall coverings.

And so we worked hard to fulfil our brief and meet the deadline. Once Barbican’s acoustic raft feature was successfully in place throughout the office, we installed their complete furniture package. To match their new look office, they requested everything from new workstations and chairs, to meeting room furniture, soft seating, storage and even a new reception desk. The result is transformative to say the least!

We are very proud to have been appointed to deliver such a comprehensive refurbishment for Barbican, and hope their staff enjoy the result as much as we enjoyed working on it.
