Livin Housing

Ultimate were appointed directly by Livin Housing to design, project manage and delivery the full refurbishment of their 2 story head office in Spennymoor, along with the supply of all new fitted and loose office furniture.

The brief from the very initial meeting apart from wanting to create a fresh, flexible, agile, collaborative, and sustainable workplace for their colleagues and stakeholders, their main importance was they needed to remain open for the business needs & their circa 200 colleagues albeit on a slightly reduced number basis. Their other main priority was that their tenants should still be able to visit should they require or have the need to do so.

With the above in mind, a full logistical phasing plan and security detail was discussed and implemented allowing the client to continue to work normally in fully protected and segregated areas with their own secure and safe entrance area away from the ongoing phased refurbishment works.

On completion of each refurbished phase, we would install all the new and recycled/retained furniture allowing their colleagues to occupy the new areas before we would commence on the next phases.

On completion of both floors, the final phases were the common areas such as the wc’s, shower room and reception area. Again, we agreed and produced a logistical plan to allow enough live wc’s in operation at any one time for the building occupancy numbers. With regards the reception area, out of hour working was implemented so that it remained available and safe during the day for possible tenant visits.

The above was achieved with zero complaints or issues due to the strict and stringent site management by Ultimate’s dedicated and proactive on and off-site delivery team.
