151 revamped bedrooms and new bathrooms working with Edge Architects Ltd and Chandler KBS to refurbish this modern hotel.
This is the third in a series of successful hotel refurbishments that we have completed for the Mercure hotel chain, following Haydock and St Paul’s, Sheffield. Each remained fully open to guests while the major refurbishment works were undertaken in a phased approach.

Neutral and light the beds lay in front of a feature wall. It’s painted white and overlaid with dark green silhouettes of windswept river reeds. Lighter shades of green were used as highlights to tie the bedrooms together, from the bed throws to the stylish dressing room chairs.
After laying the flooring and fitting the carpet, we installed everything from our bespoke joinery and upholstery to our bespoke artwork decorations and a light touch refurbishment to the en-suite bathrooms. The space, featuring loose pieces of furniture, is intimately lit with wall-mounted, table top and floor standing lamps.
