Mercure Haydock Hotel

After refurbishing 114 guest bedrooms, en-suite bathrooms and the corridor leading to the meeting suite Chandler KBS invited us to carry out some additional work. Working alongside Interior Designers, Koncept ID, we helped to bring their visions to life.

The restaurant and bar, reception, lounge and conservatory- spaces that serve unique purposes, yet need to tap into the hotel’s overarching theme, horseracing. It became a truly eclectic fit-out project, which we completed on time and to budget, within a ‘live’ hotel environment, much to their delight.

In two semi-private dining areas there are hung framed prints of horseshoes and various equestrian motifs, alongside floor-to-ceiling curtains in racecourse green. The contemporary restaurant has our newly installed bar and soft furnishings. Long tables or deep-buttoned chairs to choose from, both are perfectly matched with the in-built bespoke bookcase, that’s back lit to showcase hand-picked horseracing ornaments.

We completed the stylish wall and geometric floor tiling, installed bespoke upholstery as well as the intimate lighting in the conservatory.

Deep-buttoned sofas and chairs in rich shades of orange, green and regal red and contrasting dark wooden furniture with neutral walls and elegant feature lighting. By lining the walls with monochrome maps of Britain, Europe and the wider world, we allowed the furniture to truly stand out and complete the room. Underfoot, you have a herringbone patterned carpet which matches the dark navy lampshades throughout.

Those who stay the night will be treated to brand new bedroom, where you can’t help but notice the bespoke graphic of a jockey racing to victory on the feature wall behind the bed. It’s a memorable place to recharge after a day at the races.
