At Ultimate, we’re no strangers to taking on large projects; with dozens of full interior fit outs under our belt. These ‘Turn-Key’ projects can be challenging but at the same time gives us an opportunity to work closely with our special partners and the client to come up with the perfect solution.
When tasked with a full scale design and build for California based software company Couchbase we knew how important it was going to be to live up to and exceed all expectations.
The Sevendale House in Manchester is truly stunning, dating back to the 1700s and having had millions spent in renovation. It was crucial that our design and build reflected and paid homage to the buildings rich history, as well as meeting the desires of Couchbase for their brand new office space.
This four week project saw a full mechanical and electrical installation, including solid and glazed partitions and doors, complete with bespoke manifestation graphics. The high quality carpets and vinyl flooring from Desso and Polyflor were a must, and the inclusion of a brand new kitchen and breakout area really gave us the opportunity to get creative.
Working in conjunction with LRW Interior Design, the breakout area features a funky graphic artwork in the form of a ‘Manchester Album Cover Wall’ a nod to Manchester’s long and varied musical history.
Some other very special features included a tasteful red brick clad wall, and an innovative WRITEON Walltalker by Tektura, blissfully combining the old with the new. The whole build was topped off with the installation of a comprehensive furniture package, including bench desking, a variety of seating, desk fabric screens, monitor arms, and some extremely practical storage pedestals.
Feature lighting finished off the project and after four long weeks, the Couchbase office was complete. We hope they love their new office half as much as we all loved working on it, to find out more you can head over to the case study.
