In order to meet rapidly growing demand for its services, Darlington Credit Union needed a new home. Their new base on Tubwell Row in Darlington required a full interior fit out and refurbishment, which following a competitive design and build tender process, we were delighted to win.
Spanning two floors, we provided a full interior package. In order to provide DCU with a purpose built banking hall, private interview rooms and three new cashier points, the project required us to first repair the tired slate roof, completely strip out existing fixtures and fittings, and carry out significant mechanical and electrical works.
Only then were we able to press on with installing a combination of timber and suspended ceilings complimented by vinyl and carpet tile flooring.
The new automatic double door entrance and wall mounted LCD flat screen televisions were a welcome addition, combined with the ultra-modern bespoke Corian™ counter.
The private consultation rooms featuring solid and glazed glass partitioning were all part of our bespoke joinery package. Illuminated interior and exterior signage and a collection of loose furniture items added the finishes touches.
