Some of you may remember we posted in February about a project we were very excited about indeed. One that would require immense planning and logistics, and would no doubt present many new challenges along the way.
The stunning Mercure St Paul’s Hotel in Sheffield city centre required the full refurbishment of its 163 luxury bedrooms, as well as the restaurant, lounge and bar areas. At the time of our previous post, we had already completed the 5th floor bedrooms and were steadily working our way down the floors completing each and every room to the highest standard. Our task, is to make sure every detail reflects the hotels impressive 4-star status and luxury reputation.
Despite being on such a massive scale, the Mercure Hotel project presented us with perhaps an even greater challenge. The 17 to 18 week fit out is taking place as the hotel remains operational, meaning that tight project management, site supervision, logistics and planning is crucial to its ongoing success.
With that said, we are delighted to announce that the hotel now boasts a fully reimagined restaurant and lounge area, including details such as carpets, timber feature panelling, décor, re-upholstering, sculpture installations and lighting.
The most recent completions were successfully handed over two days ahead of schedule, with a further 16 bedrooms also handed over with a day to spare.
Riding on a string of successes, we have now commenced on the refurbishment of the hotel bar, which we cannot wait to show you.
The 4-Star St Paul’s Hotel has unrivalled views of the city centre and a modern spa with gym and an indoor heated pool. The hotel is located within close proximity to the cities theatres the Lyceum and the Crucible as well as Sheffield Hallam University.
A true Sheffield landmark, we have thoroughly enjoyed working on the hotel thus far and cannot wait to see the finished project come together. Keep an eye on our Twitter and LinkedIn for the latest updates and news from the team.
