Citygate II, Newcastle upon Tyne

Working in conjunction with Savills on behalf of landlords Topland, we undertook a remodelling of the main reception area and refurbishment of the third-floor office suite to Citygate II, Newcastle.

Citygate II is a distinguished office building situated in the heart of Newcastle City Centre, at the pinnacle of St James Boulevard within the Gallowgate area and only a 10-minute walk of Newcastle Central train station.

Our works included relocating the reception desk centrally to enhance circulation and provide greater visual coverage for the management team, whilst freeing up space to create a well needed and inviting waiting area.

The use of natural tones, lighting, flooring, general textures, new branding and biophilic products have transformed the area to ensuring a memorable arrival experience. Works to the third floor benefitted from a landlord base refurbishment of which included strip out of previous tenant installations, full redecoration, carpeting, new LED lighting and centralised kitchen area inclusive of breakout furniture.

 As the building had several prominent tenants it was critical that during the refurbishment that the reception maintained operational status to allow visitors to the property.
