KPMG, Nottingham
KPMG appointed us, via the Landlord CEG, to deliver a transformative, client-hosting workspace within the landmark EastWest Building in Nottingham city centre.
The project required a forward-thinking fit-out that balanced functionality, sustainability, and flexibility, all within a tightly managed programme. We completed the project ahead of schedule, ensuring KPMG could seamlessly transition into their new space. Our dedicated on-site project team collaborated closely with the building’s landlord, Commercial Estates Group (CEG), and KPMG, to ensure the process of overseeing the physical build was enjoyable and stress-free.
Sustainability was central, with a focus on reusing existing furniture wherever possible, upgrading selectively, and supplementing only with high-value, environmentally responsible additions. At the same time, KPMG sought to create a compelling client-hosting experience, which led to the development of a flexible conference and meeting suite.
By incorporating moveable partitions, the space could adapt from smaller, private breakout areas to a large, open-plan environment suitable for corporate events. In the main workspace, the emphasis was on promoting agile, task-based working. We achieved this through a variety of dynamic settings, such as a touchdown zone with phone pods, a collaborative six-person stand-up workbench, and a vibrant work café.
To make collaboration seamless while maintaining comfort, innovative acoustic designs were introduced, allowing the café to remain part open plan without noise disruption. Underpinning the entire approach was a strategic, value-driven delivery model that maximised the project’s impact while staying cost-conscious and sustainable. Having worked with CEG before, this project marked our first collaboration with KPMG, and we’re proud to say it was a great success. It was a pleasure partnering with both KPMG and CEG throughout the process.
