Re-Use and Re-Cycle

Sustainability in building projects is a vast and detailed subject and we can recommend consultants to take you through the process of your building’s environmental credentials.

If the building selected is an existing build, the building fit out can be assessed under the SKA rating or BREEAM standard. Both follow an assessment process that mitigates unnecessary environmental damage caused whilst completing the refurbishment and fit out of the building. Following the assessment, an accreditation is awarded which recognises the environmental improvements that have been made to the interior design of the building.

As a responsible contractor it is in our best interests to harness good working practice, minimise waste and investigate environmentally friendly products.

As a responsible contractor it is in our best interests, both from the point of the environment and best value, to harness good working practice, minimise waste and investigate environmentally friendly products. To enhance our project offering we are in the process of being SKA accredited so that we can provide the SKA assessment tool ‘in house’ for sustainable fit-outs.

A further tool that can be used is The WELL Building Standard®. This is a performance-based system for measuring, certifying, and monitoring features of the built environment that impact human health and wellbeing through air, water, nourishment, light, fitness, comfort and mind.
