We’re very impressed by a new multi-million pound building for Stafford College which has been designed by CPMG Architects.
The three-story building is home to Stafford College’s Learning Resource Centre, the Beauty Academy, hospitality, IT departments along with a café, bistro and restaurant for public use and student training.
CPMG has given the interior of the building a stunning ‘boutique hotel’ look through the use of neutral-coloured materials. A contemporary feel has been achieved with metallic wallpaper and mirrors.
The salons in the Beauty Academy have been designed to replicate a luxury spa through the use of darker colours and low lighting levels.
Bright colours including yellows, vibrant pinks and purples have been used throughout the college to highlight furniture, flooring and shelving.
The materials used in the project have been carefully selected to complement the surrounding area; red brick and solar-controlled curtain walling has been used on the public face of the building with light-reflecting cladding on the campus side.
