Overview:
As Pre-Construction Manager at Ultimate Group, you will report to the Pre-Construction Director and be a key part of the Pre-Construction & Delivery teams.
The role will cover pre-contract, project review, design and brief development, project estimation, assisting with and leading bid presentations, and providing technical input, assistance and contractual negotiation.
Managing the current Pre-Construction Team, you will be responsible for colleague development, mentoring and monitoring, along with managing project workloads across the department.
General Duties & Responsibilities:
- Lead and Collaborate: You’ll take the lead in tender presentations for new projects, working closely with the Ultimate Bid Team to present compelling proposals to potential clients.
- Day to day team management: You’ll take responsibility for the daily workload of the team, ensuring prioritisations of projects by assessing the opportunities, and viability to take them forwards.
- Budget Mastery: During the proposal stage, you’ll prepare detailed budgets, vet trade contractor bids, and compile proposal documents, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Cost Planning: Develop initial concept budgets and detailed cost plans, collaborating with the Ultimate Sales Lead to align with client expectations.
- Attention to Detail: Review all tender documents, analyze drawings, specifications, and other documentation to create comprehensive cost estimates and proposals.
- Vendor Relations: Obtain multiple quotations for work elements to ensure cost competitiveness and efficiency.
- Team Mentorship: Foster the growth and development of the Pre-Construction Team, providing guidance and coaching as needed to maintain high standards.
- Continuous Improvement: regularly reviewing ways of working to ensure the team and business are performing to the best of their ability.
