Lancaster & Morecambe College had a vision of creating a state-of-the-art training, teaching and laboratory space that prioritised flexibility and agility for their new T Level qualifications. Designed by Seven Architecture, the project focused on delivering cutting-edge spaces that cater to modern educational needs.
Key stakeholders alongside the project managers, NK Consultants, sought inspiration to guide their choices with a visit to our showroom, The Hive, proving pivotal in this journey as the team experienced first-hand the potential of furniture and fit-out solutions designed for dynamic educational settings.
Ambitious goals were balanced with budgetary constraints, allowing the College to achieve its vision without compromising on quality, ensuring every detail aligned with both their aspirations and resources. Meticulous planning was needed, ensuring the safety of students and staff, while minimising disruption to daily activities to overcome challenges of operating within a live college environment and extensive asbestos removal.
The result is a transformative educational environment that perfectly encapsulates Lancaster & Morecambe College’s commitment to excellence. Students and staff now benefit from a world-class facility designed to inspire learning, adaptability and innovation.
