Mandata Transport Management Software

Our project completion saw the complete refurbishment, fit out and furniture provisions for Mandata Transport Management Software’s head office in collaboration with our interior design partner, Peter Turner.

Our works briefly consisted of partitioning, decorating, bespoke joinery, flooring, reconfiguration of air conditioning, plumbing, electrical works, lighting, fully fitted kitchen supply and installation, signage and furniture provisions. The scheme has some great features such as a meeting area enclosed by birch tree trunks, clever use of different floor coverings, large informal breakout zone, meeting pods and collaboration areas interlinked with general staff desks and meeting rooms.

Creating a cohesive experience in their physical space, the entrance zone showcases Mandata’s logo in acrylic graphics. This feature wall is embedded within a bespoke plywood surround consisting of shelving, storage as well as optional seating to the base unit.

Bringing the benefits of biophilia into the open plan space, their central collaboration zone is enclosed by birch tree trunks and features clever use of Interface’s LVT. This theme is carried through in the oak framework of Connection’s statement meeting table, benches and low stools. The space also features Elite’s soft seating with a solid beech wooden frame, perfect for informal meetings whilst in keeping with the surrounding scheme.

Connection’s flexible, reconfigurable and free-standing Rooms structure creates a semi-private huddle area. The Venetian trellis style walls provide visual privacy whilst benefitting from external light, and the addition of acoustic panels shelters the zone from unwanted noise. Elite’s bench desking with its striking ‘A’ framework is designed to support agile working and is paired beautifully with their minimal stools that boast ergonomically moulded shells.

The newly refurbished break out zone features a fully fitted kitchen with integral appliances. The wall units were specified in light grey oak which contrast nicely against the matt graphite base units. This contemporary colourway is seen on walls throughout the space and is thoughtfully carried through to the upholstery on the kitchen’s centre island stools.

This zone is cleverly divided through considered use of furniture inclusions such as high-backed booths, bench seating and suspended acoustic panels. The central area features a robust solid oak plank top table with an eye-catching cross and diagonal structural frame. This provides a vast work surface ideal for enjoying refreshments, collaboration work or entertaining guests.

Cleverly enclosed by partially frosted glazing and crittall detailing, the boardroom offers visual and acoustic privacy without compromising on natural light from the external office. Tektura’s dry wipe wallcovering was fitted to the rear wall, perfect for meeting notes, brainstorming or even a projector screen.

Eborcraft’s flagship meeting table is the centre point, with a black laminate top and oak edging which softens the overall finish. Providing an elegant approach to power and data connectivity, OE Electrics’ ‘floating surface’ design was specified and feeds through to a cable management slinky.

Further extending the biophilic design scheme, a living yet maintenance-free moss panel is featured to the boardroom’s external wall. Not only does this bring transformative character to the office, but it works to improve air quality, absorb acoustic energy and suppress noise.
