Our recent full turnkey project saw us refresh and refurbish Vp plc’s head office in Harrogate, complete with new kitchen, tea point and breakout zones. Vp is a specialist rental business that serves a diverse range of end markets including infrastructure, construction, housebuilding, oil and gas; both in the UK and overseas.
Our works briefly comprised of design, strip out, refurbishment, fit out, furniture, lighting, floor power and data, flooring, glazing, partitioning, joinery and a new complete kitchen.
Steelcase’s Series 1 task chairs were provided throughout the open plan office space which offer intuitive support with integrated technology that supports the user as they move throughout the day. Their OttimaEco Bench desking was also specified alongside these to facilitate the team’s need to adapt and regroup without comprising on their wellbeing.
Informal meeting zones were incorporated with cylinder pouffes and bench seating with integrated laptop tables. Together, these support the functional collaborative space, allowing for both independent and coworking activities. To further enhance collaborative work, the inclusion of a four-person high booth and sofa hybrid blends corporate needs with hospitality style.
Suspended and wall-mounted acoustic baffles were installed across the HR and main open plan office space to prevent unwanted sound and enhance privacy. Similarly, video conferencing booths were also designed and built with an ‘On Air’ illuminated sign to prevent unnecessary interruptions.
Elements of biophilia were introduced to the kitchen and breakout zone through feature moss panels that mirror the frosted vinyl manifestations to glazed partitioning in the main office and reception areas. Carpet tile clusters to the same effect were added to the open plan space and carried through to conference rooms.
