Project Completion: CVS Group, Bishop Auckland
CVS practice Castle Vets appointed Ultimate to complete a full fit-out of their vacant building having outgrown their current space with the aim to create a brand new 4,756 square foot purpose-built veterinary surgery. The new space that Ultimate have created will enable the practice to significantly increase the number of clients it serves and expand on the range of clinical services it can offer to pets in the local area.
CVS invested over £1.3 million to relocate to the new space and upgrade the areas with the latest facilities and equipment. The modernised scheme has been fitted with several customer consultation rooms and treatment areas which include a new spacious operating theatre, digital and dental x-ray facilities, a dental suite, in-house laboratory and an isolation ward for very unwell animals.
The works Ultimate completed were concentrated on the ground floor exclusively, except for a new plantation room with a lobby on the first floor and an external pet exercise area. Full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations have been completed as well as the installation of new partitioning, doors, ceilings, flooring and decorations.
The new reception area is light and spacious with the addition of floor to ceiling images of the animals CVS will treat at the new site giving a warming charm to the separate dog and cat waiting areas which have newly installed comfortable seating and storage. A new break away space has also been installed which has been decorated in calming blue tones and featuring a small kitchen as well as a comfortable high table seating area providing a well-earned rest for the staff working at the facility.
