Project Completion: Vistry Group

Our recent project completion saw the refurbishment of two suites at Vistry Group, Leeds. Vistry Group develop sustainable new homes and communities across all sectors of the UK housing market. We previously worked with them to carry out works on their Leeds and Doncaster offices when they were known as Linden Homes.

Our work briefly consisted of the removal of existing partitions, flooring and kitchen, and the installation of new flooring, offices, meeting rooms, branding, manifestations, and furniture provisions. We also redecorated throughout, and adapted electrics and data to suit the new scheme.

Their newly refurbished entrance centres around a bespoke reception desk in a fresh white laminate with a backlit feature front panel in pearl grey. To create a comfortable yet stylish waiting area, Allermuir’s high back armchairs were specified in the Group’s branded light grey and plum purple colourways.

The Crittall-style rear glass wall floods the space with natural lighting and features manifestations of the Group’s logos. Vinyl detailing was also used to create a feature wall of Vistry Group’s core values – integrity, caring and quality.

The back-to-back banks of desking in the open plan office space provide a vast worksurface, with space for monitor risers and external devices to create an ergonomic station. Task chairs from Beshtuhl were specified with mesh backs, providing a permeable, flexible, strong and supportive backrest for the users.

To create an element of privacy without shielding vision entirely, central desk screens were added in the Group’s signature purple.

To facilitate storage, units were added on to otherwise vacant space at the ends of the desk banks, as well as individual, lockable pedestals between each workstation. We utilised higher storage units to break up the open plan space with functionality. These are topped with planters homing artificial plants and decorative stones to bring in benefits of biophilia.

To cater for multiple purposes, their newly refurbished breakout zone features a mix of seating from contemporary sofas to high back booths to tub chairs. Specifically designed for workplace breakout areas, Ocee Design’s modular sofa divides the space, creating a base for either relaxation or casual meetings. Similarly, Connection’s four-person booth provides both visual and acoustic privacy for focused work or team meetings.

To create a cohesive brand experience throughout the full space, their boardroom features sled base chairs from Senator upholstered in the Group’s signature plum purple and light grey colourways. Three surface linear feature lights were installed to suit the new layout, providing even lighting across both the space and the expanse of the boardroom table.
