Gordon Brown Law

Our project saw the strip-out and refurbishment of Gordon Brown Law’s workspace in collaboration with our design partners Cocoon & Bauer.

Our works briefly comprised of strip-out, partitioning and manifestation, doorways, decorating, neon signage, carpets and vinyl flooring, electrical works, lighting, kitchen removal and tea point fit, ceiling works, acoustic panelling and furniture inclusions.

The scheme across their 12,624sqft workspace provided a reception, meeting rooms, training room, boardroom and breakout area plus large open plan office areas configured to support expansion and growth. Within the open plan space features a collaboration / informal meeting zone as well as a designated central resource area. The firm’s branding, values and ongoing commitment to well-being in the workplace was captured well by our project design partners.

A striking feature wall was created in the reception area with Gordon Brown Law’s illuminated logo which is also seen to the frosted manifestation sheltering the adjoining meeting rooms. This is adjacent to a second feature wall in their branded purple which carries through to one of their newly refurbished meeting rooms. With sculptured seats inspired by a smile, Ocee Design’s Giggle chair creates a contemporary lounge setting with a great backstory. Influenced by their logo, Interface’s Heuga II in frosted lilac creates a statement border around their bespoke reception desk.

Their boardroom was designed to have a contemporary feel that showcases their branded colours and logo. Mobili’s sleek Pyramid Steel table features with a jet-black finish and is paired with Nomique’s Pepi stackable cantilever chairs specified in their branded colourways. Three Asteria pendant lights feature to the centre of the meeting room, providing an even balance across the boardroom table to enhance concentration and avoid eye strain.

Interface’s Antique Dark Oak and Washed Wheat LVT was specified for the breakout area’s flooring to create an eye-catching herringbone laid chevron pattern. This complements the charcoal grey finish and oak effect work surface of the tea point and island unit nicely. This natural and contemporary feel is carried through in Workstories’ Transit elegant stacking chairs, specified with alternating natural ash and black ash seats with black wire framework, and Ocee Design’s ForSure® black high skid frame chairs.

The open plan office space features Mobili’s Soho2 desking which has been designed to meet and exceed current ergonomic standards and offer a vast work surface, perfect for the additional dual monitor mounts. Mobili’s S2 desk mounted screens add an element of privacy within the open plan setting and each desk is complete with a telescopic cable tray and integral sliding top for cable management. Hood Seating’s C-19 were the task chairs of choice which feature intuitive ergonomic design and adjustment without compromising on style.
