Project Completion: Samuel Knight

Our recent full turnkey project saw us redesign and refurbish the ground floor, mezzanine, and basement area at City Quadrant development in Newcastle-upon-Tyne into a truly unique space for the tenant Samuel Knight International.

 

 

Samuel Knight are market leading recruitment and project manpower specialists for the energy and rail sectors. Operating for over 35 combined years, they continually work to provide their clients with unparalleled, sought after talent.

 

 

Steven Rawlingson, founder and CEO of Samuel Knight International, said in a recent local publication: “A great deal of thought and consideration was put into the layout of our new headquarters and the finished product now provides the perfect platform for our expansion plans. Creating a great work environment was our top priority.

 

 

“From the outset we aimed to deliver a space that would become Samuel Knight’s ‘forever’ home, and I think we have certainly achieved that. We love what the location offers and our new headquarters more than quadruple the size of our previous office, giving us long term flexibility and opportunities for plans in the future.”

 

 

The open plan space and general work areas are sited on the ground and mezzanine level which makes the best use of the high ceilings and natural light, with new LED lighting enhancing the lighting levels.

 

 

Accent colours and branding is used on the core walls and perimeter windows to good effect which ties in well with new Steelcase bench desking and task chairs for the corporate look.

With the vision from our interior design partners Cocoon and Bauer, the basement area was totally transformed from an unused storage area to an unbelievable multi-use work and play space.

 

 

Here we see a large collaboration lounge with drywipe wallcovering for brainstorming, tiered presentation seating, bar, games / pool table area, conference room, snug area with bean bags, additional toilet facilities and the unique outdoor park area with various types of seating working with artificial plants, grass and imitation tree.
